There are many classes held at Countryside. In addition they offer a wide variety of afternoon classes at other schools throughout Newton.

The Countryside Children's Center, organized in the summer of 1977, is a two-site creative arts and recreation program, committed to providing quality and affordable before and after school care for children in grades kindergarten through five. The children are not grouped by grade although progams are designed to provide exciting, age appropriate experiences in a family inspired setting.

The Center shares space withing the school, using the back room and auditorium foyer as a base; the center also has access to the gym, kitchen, library and other classrooms.

Three different programs are offered: Morning program (7:30–8:20), Kindergarten program (12:30–3:00) and a Full-day program (3:00–6:00).
