The new Countryside playground is almost complete. If our community can quickly raise the $10,000 still needed, our children will be able to enjoy a giant climbing net and climbing wall by early next spring! Please consider a donation
now, made out to the Countryside PTO Playground Fund. Donations are tax-deductible, and many employers will
grant matching funds.
Please contact Abby Schwartz, Playground Committee
Chair, at abby.schwart@verizon.net if you can help.

The PTO Playground Committee is accepting donations now. Please return the donation slip to the front office or via your child’s homework folder. Make your tax deductible check out to “Countryside PTO–Playground Fund”.

Kids can help earn money too! For example, they can rake leaves, collect cans, do extra chores, sell lemonade and snacks, etc. |

Ask grandparents, other relatives and friends to make donations in honor of your child. |
Q: Why did we need to replace the old equipment?
A: The old structure was no longer within code, was falling apart, and was unsafe. Given our large student population, we needed more space for the children to play.
Q: Why do we need the funds by December, 2008?
A: The company that manufactures the equipment has had price increases. They have guaranteed us the pre-increase price until December 2008.
Q: What if we don't reach our goal of $40,000 by December?
A: The plan for the playground can be broken down into phases. Even if we don't collect all of the money, we will be able to use what we have to add to the current structure.
Q: When will the rest of the playground be installed?
A: We are hoping to raise the funds needed to place the order by December for a spring installation.
Q: What can I do to help?
A: Give a donation, ask relatives, friends and neighbors. Ask employers about matching funds.
Q: How can my kids get involved?
A: Kids can do odd jobs for friends and neighbors, have a bake sale or lemonade stand, collect redeemable cans, be creative and come up with their own ideas. Work together with friends.
